ABOUT US
Being an auctioneer was a lifelong desire for Mr. Edwards. So, after retiring from the private business sector, he went down to the Missouri Auction School to get his certification and followed up with the State of Wisconsin to get his license. Pre-Covid, he had held live auctions, but has decided that times have changed and people are more interested in online buying than sitting for hours at a live auction.
Royce and his partner Mary very much enjoy meeting new consignors, discussing their options, and providing online services for them. They also have met very many people throughout the nation that have become consistent followers and bidders. They would like to thank all the consignors and bidders for their business. It is very much appreciated.
Royce J. Edwards
Royce has been active in the antique business for over 40 years. He brings his unique knowledge of the "male" side of the business, and helps Mary identify farming, military and other items she is not familiar with. Royce has extensive business experience, holding as many as 3 jobs at the same time. After his military duties, Royce became a purchasing agent, and office manager for various companies. He retired from the State of WI as a financial specialist.
Royce held a real estate license and was a real estate agent for 20 years. He also was a professional photographer in Fond du Lac, WI for 30 years. And during his spare time, he was an antique dealer in the Fond du Lac area. Royce went to Missouri Auction School and got his auctioneers license in 2016. After Covid became our new normal, Royce did not want to give up the auction business, so he decided to go to Online Only auctions.
Mr. Edwards is a proud United States Veteran, having served in the US Air Force, and was stationed in Japan during the Viet Nam era.
Mary Faust
Royce is assisted by his partner, Mary Faust, who is resposible for taking all the photos, providing item descriptions, and uploading everything to the auction service provider, EstateSales.org. She also manages the Edwards Auction Service LLC Facebook page and this website.
Mary basically grew up in the antique business. Her parents were dealers well known throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. She was very active in the business, helping first at their Antique store in Oshkosh, then at the numerous flea markets and antique shows.
Mary has a huge collection of antique price guides she searches through, as well as checking sell through prices on many different websites and auction papers. She throughly researches rate/price resources that are true indicators of current values. Mary has a good idea what the current market is (and is not) looking for. She will tell you what items may or may not sell due to market conditions.
Mary packs and ships all the items that sell nationwide. While doing business with Edwards Auction Service, you will periodically see emails from Mary, and she will be able to answer most questions you have about auctions.
